Lemondrop Martini Manicure
The Lemondrop Martini: just a little slice of heaven in a glass! If you've ever had a one, you know how delicious it is. Surprisingly, what makes a Lemondrop Martini taste so good also makes for a great manicure.
Vodka is a natural cleanser and disinfectant, lemon juice lightens nails, and sugar is perfect for gentle exfoliating. Finish up with Soothing Hand & Body Lotion. It's a great manicure for the "over 21" crowd - or anyone else using the fruit juice version.
1/4 cup Vodka (or white grape juice)
1 Tbsp Orange Liqueur (or orange juice)
1 lemon (cut two slices and reserve) juiced
3 Tbsp sugar
Soothing Hand & Body Lotion
Prep: Mix vodka, orange liqueur and lemon juice in a bowl large enough to hold both hands. Add enough hot water so hands will be completely covered. In another small bowl, put sugar with lemon slices on top.
Manicure: Remove polish, and file and shape nails. Soak hands in Martini water for 7-8 minutes. Using an orange stick, gently push cuticles back. Dip lemons into the sugar, and gently scrub hands and nails. Rinse hands in clean water, dry lightly and massage in lotion. Follow with nail polish if desired.
