Ginger, Clove & Tea Tree Cold and Flu Bath
Anytime you're starting to feel a cold come on, try a traditional spice bath, with the added power of Tea Treat Oil.
Ingredients
1 cup Epsom salt
1/2 c baking soda
10 drops Tea Tree Oil
2 T ground ginger
1 T ground cloves
1/2 cup boiling water
Instructions
Add ginger and cloves to boiling water, cover and let steep for 5-6 minutes. Strain infused water through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl and add all other ingredients. Stir well. Add to very warm bath water, swirling to dissolve the Epsom salts and baking soda.
Soak for 20 minutes, and be sure to drink plenty of water before and after your bath. Bring a mug of tea made with whole cloves and honey to sip while you soak. It not only tastes delicious, but may help soothe your throat.
Why it works: Epsom salt and baking soda help draw out toxins from your body, while tea tree oil helps fight inflammation and germs. Ginger helps you sweat, and helps prevent nausea. Cloves and honey provide natural antibacterial and anti-fungal benefits.
