| Ingredients 1/2 cup baking soda 1 lemon, thinly sliced - reserve a couple of slices for foot bath 1 bunch of fresh mint, finely chopped Equipment: Medium bowl, 12" square of cheesecloth or a large coffee filter, rubber band Instructions: In a square of cheesecloth, or in coffee filter, loosely pack in sliced lemons and chopped mint Fill bowl with hot water, and steep "sachet" for 5 minutes. Fill a foot bath with cool water, and swirl baking soda in. Add lemon-mint "tea" squeezing the sachet to remove as much as possible. Add reserved lemons, and soak feet for ten minutes. This is a remarkable "pick-me-up", especially if feet are overworked and hot. The 'tea' can be prepared up to 24 hours ahead and chilled, before use, too. |
